A doula accompanies client in labor to help achieve a satisfying birth experience and help client give birth in a manner the client desires. A doula draws on her own knowledge and experience to provide emotional support and physical comfort. A doula assists client in gaining information needed to make informed decisions throughout her birth. A doula is self-employed and does not work for a hospital, birth site or other health care professional.

Once the deposit of $200 has been received, it is non-refundable. Once I receive your contract and payment I specifically reserve time around your due date. Should you choose to terminate services, it must be done in writing prior to 35 weeks gestation and the balance of $600 will be waived. Failure of client to call doula at the time of labor does not apply to this section and all remaining fees would apply. If the doula fails to arrive at the predetermined birth site within two hours of the client requesting her presence by phone, the entire fee of $800 would be refunded to the client.
